Beautiful South Australia offers a fantastic and unforgettable holiday experience. There is so much to see and do.

  • Only 20 minutes away from Adelaide's CBD, you can swim with dolphins and watch amazing sunsets over the ocean at Glenelg, a popular seaside suburb.
  • Around an hour's drive from Adelaide you can browse and sample renowned local produce from farmers' markets; cruise down the majestic Murray River or indulging in some of Australia's best wines at over 200 cellar doors in the beautiful Barossa, quaint Adelaide Hills and stunning McLaren Vale wine regions.

Adelaide is a friendly, relaxed and environmentally conscious city. With beautiful stone buildings and wide boulevards surrounded by expansive parklands, the central business district is easy to navigate and features many cultural attractions, shopping precincts, restaurants and nightclubs, all within walking distance. With everything so close, Adelaide is also an ideal base to explore many of South Australia's highlights.

Adelaide Hills & Barossa

The charming towns and famous vineyards of the Barossa are located north of Adelaide. The region's strong winemaking history dates back to the 1840s with the settlement of German-speaking Prussian immigrants. Now, dozens of wineries are scattered throughout the region, with renowned names including Penfolds, Henschke, Peter Lehmann and Wolf Blass. Near the edge of the Barossa and around half an hour east of Adelaide lies the cooler climate Adelaide Hills region. Formerly used largely for dairy farming, the Adelaide Hills is a relatively young wine region but names such as Shaw and Smith, Nepenthe, Petaluma and The Lane have already established international recognition.

Kangaroo Island

The koalas aren't being cuddled - they're relaxing at home in native trees. The seals aren't performing - they're lazing beside you on the beach. There are echidnas, platypus, goannas, wallabies and kangaroos. Also on this diverse Island there are cellar doors, art galleries, a sheep dairy, honey farms, lavender farm, marron farm and a eucalyptus distillery, as well as spectacular limestone caves to adventure in.

Flinders Ranges

The Flinders Ranges provides a dramatic departure from the hectic pace of big cities, but it's surprisingly accessible. See the majestic natural amphitheatre of Wilpena Pound, a lost world located inside a giant stone crater. Or take a scenic flight over the Flinders Ranges. There's hiking trails, scenic flights, 4WD adventure tours and camel treks.

Eyre Peninsula

The Eyre Peninsula is Australia's seafood leader with varied and plentiful catches all resulting in mouth watering seafood. Learn how the Coffin Bay oysters, bluefin tuna, kingfish and Murray cod are farmed and processed before enjoying your own seafood meal matched with local wines. For a higher adrenlin holiday in the Eyre Peninsula you can experience big game fishing, four wheel driving, shark cage diving and swimming with sea lions, dolphins or massive bluefin tuna. There will be something for the whole family around Port Lincoln and the Eyre Peninsula.
